Bowlby MKII

CURRENT SPECIFICATION: BOWLBY MKII

Although the Bowlby MKII was originally conceived as a Clubmans car, changes in the regulations for the Clubmans series of races resulted in the need for the team to develop the car to run as a sports car in open and invitation events.

To be competitive at this level necessitated obtaining more power from the centre mounted 2 litre "Red Top" Vauxhall engine installed in the car as well as  maximising the road holding capabilities by modifications to the suspension and aerodynamics.

Considerable thought went into the selection of wing profiles to be used front and rear as well as the underfloor ducting to achieve the best balance between downforce and drag.

Developments of this nature have continued through the years of racing in an attempt to maintain a competitive race car. Our times on the track continue to improve.
