1990s

1990 Ben concentrates on his engineering degree while team M&F win every race entered.
Ginger sets new class lap records at Snetterton, Cadwell Park, Oulton Park, Brands Hatch and Donington and again wins the 1 litre class in the BARC Special Saloon Championship.

1991 – Moving on
It  became clear that the team had to move on to new challenges and a new area of racing.
Here the team’s friendship developed with Ben Bowlby. Ben had used the design and construction of a Clubmans Sports Racing Car as part of his work towards his Engineering Degree. Having produced the prototype and obtained the required degree, Ben agreed to build a second car for Dr David Enderby (another Special Saloon driver). However Ben's career overtook these plans as he accepted a position as designer for Lola. The M&F Racing Team, looking for a new challenge, agreed with Ben to take his prototype car and build two new cars, one for themselves and a second for Enderby.

1998/99 – New era of racing begins
Testing the new Bowlby Mk IIs started at Silverstone in March 1998 but they were not raced until 1999 when they competed in the Two Litre Clubmans class.
Sadly, the Bowlby Mk II was seen as too innovative for the Clubmans formula, so the team spent time running the car at a variety of different race events gaining track time when and wherever possible. The challenge to find a new club to call home was on. The team took the Bowlby up and down the country, getting involved in clubs and events such as:
SEMSEC (South East Motor Sport Enthusiasts Club)
750 Motor Club
MSVR (MotorSport Vision Racing)
Motor TV Race Events
Invitation Races – Clubmans, All-Comers and more
